AEROCam Imagery of Glacial Ridge
The Glacial Ridge National Wildlife Refuge is located in Polk County, Minnesota and covers a total of 35,000 acres making it the largest prairie and wetland restoration project in U.S. history. It contains a great diversity of plant species, including the western prairie fringed orchid, which is currently on the federal threatened species list. For more information visit Nature.org.

UMAC's AEROCam project has been involved with research on the Glacial Ridge NWR and has collected high resolution, multi-spectral imagery for the past three consecutive years. A sample of this imagery can be viewed in the image above, which is a mosaic of over 300 images that cover the Glacial Ridge area.

Airborne Environmental Research Observational Camera
Welcome to the AEROCam webpage, an aerial imagery source for farmers, ranchers, and researchers. AEROCam (Airborne Environmental Research Observational Camera) was developed to provide near real-time aerial imagery with a higher resolution than currently offered from satellite imagery sources to end users within the UMAC region. Our imagery serves as a vital tool in remote sensing and the geospatial analysis of vegetation, soils, and countless other applications which provide information to environmental and agricultural issues.

AEROCam 2007 Season Overview
AEROCam completed another productive season collecting aerial imagery. As in past years, our goal was to increase the number of end-users receiving AEROCam imagery and promote precision farming. Click below to download the report.

AEROCam 2008 End User Solication
